    What will it run?

Found a track open this Saturday and weather looks great. Bone Stock 2018 ZL1. I have some 18" ET Streets that fit my SS, but I have not tested on this car yet. So, they should work, but brakes are bigger on this car. I really won't have time to test fit them until I get to the track.

So, what will it run on street tires and what will it run if the sticky tires fit?

I'm hoping for an 11.34 @ 125, but I haven't been on a drag strip in 10 years. This is a hell of a lot different car than the ones I used to race as well.

    with good conditions I wouldn't be surprised at an 11.5 @ 124-125

maybe a couple tenths quicker with a good 60 on those tires

That's what I'm expecting honestly. Time slips on the internet tell me I only need a 1.7xx 60ft to hit low 11's. Traction doesn't seem to be a massive issue. How to launch it seems to be the trick, and that will take some seat time. Looks like the guys getting the best times aren't using the launch control.

those cars have so much potential

LMR in Houston does a lot of heads/cam/ported blower packages on LT4's and LT5's

850-900ish rwhp is easily attainable on 93 octane (with fuel system mods obviously)

    they are no bullshit

Nope. Waiting to get a stock timeslip before I mess with anything.

There is an odd following with these cars. Tons of them are slow as fuck for what they are but a few run like bats out of hell. Pray Performance has one in the 8's with fewer mods than a lot that barely touch the 9's. Another couple are well into the 9's with minimal mods. It seems like there just aren't too many people really putting time into them or not too many people know what they are doing with these cars just yet.

That said, roll racing has apparently become a thing.... so people just build them to a fuck ton of power and accomplish not shit other than that.

Might also be that you need a cage pretty damn quickly as well.

From what I've gathered reading Pray's posts it is all in the tune. That 8 second car on stock blower is pretty impressive. Wasn't a tin can either.

Hell of a question I haven't come across any questions about. Relatively sure it has good year run flats, but I'd have to double check.

It is the kind of track that is open, pal, and I need, NEED, to press the pedal to the floor and hold it there.

I think high 11's your first run and then your time will get better as you get back in the groove and learn the car on the track. So my money says 11.7x first run and if you get more than 3 runs in you drop below 11.5

Depends on what tires you have on it now. If they're the oe tires, probably 11.7-.8

11.50ish at 122-124 will be your best run on street tires. Do not use launch control, been there done that already.

I must say, I've watched several YouTube videos and asked for tips on Facebook.

So, you can basically say I'm a semi-pro driver.

They have gone 10.9xx completely stock. Camaro6.com list have a dozen or more at low 11's. It is far from impossible. Not to say I will do that, but it is far from impossible.

If it ran an 11.8 on stickies and actually hooks I might trade it in.

Yeah. I fully anticipating the track prep being shit.

As I said earlier, these cars are only doing 1.7 60fts on 10.9x time slips. So, I'm not terribly concerned about the track. Especially on slicks. It is very much a top end car.

Big change from my old LT1 cars that would 1.3 60ft to a 10.2 at 128mph

Bitches closed the track tomorrow due to rain from yesterday and "cold temperatures".

    Pussies.

14.0 @ 62... you’ll chicken out at 90 mph and coast through the traps.
