Nice. One of our sold orders is very close to the red one they tested. 3LT non Z51 in Torch Red with the Natural dipped interior. Main differences being black wheels, stripes and the bLack body color accessories instead of body colored.

Car is fantastic. I sat in it at an event at a dealer here.
Two things are meh: one is the steering wheel, which most people complain about, and they are right; and the second, the loooooooooooooooooooooong single wide row of buttons down the middle. You have to search a 3 foot long row of buttons do do something, it's a terrible design.

The square steering wheel is weird. Will be interesting to see how it feels when I drive them in April. I'm headed to Spring Mountain for Corvette training early April so I'll get plenty of seat time in them.

I guess it's cool that they had a full send release for youtubers and what not but geesh, it just shows you how flooded the market is.

Haha. It's not that bad. I used to hate his videos but I like him now. His intro is still annoying but I actually enjoy what he has to say about the cars.

That's a real problem with youtube reviews these days. You search for something and get 20 videos that look exactly like what you want. Except every damn one of those videos is a sponsored or preview unit sent specifically to that reviewer by the manufacturer. Anyone who receives something like that at zero cost to them and labels their video as a "review" is bullshit. It's dishonest as fuck IMO as that person is not consuming that product for themselves. Critiques will either be withheld or they flat out won't understand the product well enough to perform an accurate detailed review on it. Really annoying when all I want to see is a review of how X product handles X feature and after 4 15 minutes videos, not a single one even touches on this feature because the dingdong youtubers don't have a clue what the fuck they're talking about.

And what sucks is it even happens to well respected creators.

Rhykker, a great Diablo content creator, just did a sponsored review for Wolcen, another action RPG. Holy hell did he take a beating in the comment section. Rightfully so cause you don't know what he was fed or had to filter out.

And I paid as much attention to those as I do the throngs of youtubers; zero.
If you want a review of something, you need to find the people who own it, not someone who spent a half a day with it and shit out a video.

the way to help this shit not happen is to support youtuber's you like on patreon, helping to free them from needing sponsorships to earn a living.

rhykker has always been a blizzard shill, or whoever is paying him. never takes any side of the fence and stays neutral as fuck no matter his actual feelings. Watch quin's Wolcen review he put up today. What a disaster that game is lol. Oh yea corvettes are cool.

I think it's because on the lighter colors the gap between the pieces still points out that it's a separate part.

That's why I like Doug DeMuro. He doesn't really review a car, he just tells you what is in it, then drives it for a few minutes. I also like Engineering Explained just because he gets into capabilities and limitations.

But, holy crap, all the same clickbait thumbnail pictures.

I wish I knew. Right now, only our first 3 orders have been scheduled for production. The first of those is being built this week. Rumors are out there that GM is cutting production due to the strike and they probably are cutting some production. I just don't know if we'll lose any of ours. Your Dad's order is probably safe though.

Gonna be interesting to see if these depreciate like typical corvettes or not. Would be real cool to pick one up in the thirties in a few years

Of course they will. They'll be just like every other Corvette.

Anticipation high at launch, lots of sold orders for the first 2 years.
Higher performance model introduced in year 2-3, some launch buyers will trade for this model.
Sales will start to slump in year 3-4 and you'll begin to see dealers offering heavy discounts to move them off of the lot, which will have an effect on the used market prices.

This. Nothing will change about the depreciation. Only thing I could see affecting the price change is they set a low production number and I don't ever see them doing that when they sell like hotcakes.

They gotta start making that money back somehow. I'm sure the wheels/tires cost him nothing but will surely earn him click $.
