    Squeaky brakes

    What's the cause for pulsating scratch sound when braking?
    Warped rotors? I recall it still happened even after new pads and rotors?
    The sound frequency is proportional to the vehicle speed.

    Slide/guide pins could be gunked up or need grease causing uneven pad wear

    Could be the sheet metal dust shield. I've had one somehow get bent and rub on the disc.

    That's what I was thinking. I changed the tires (winter and summer) dozens of times and I sometimes hot that metal with the wheel.
