Honestly I think its the most vehicle you can get for the money on the market. Friend of mine is a salesman for Kia and they are selling as fast as they get them in.

I've seen a few of these on the road now and they look fantastic. Interior looks nice too, especially given the price.

Hyundai/Kia started hiring German designers in the mid 2000’s and began their impressive improvement on style, quality and performance. They make damn good cars now.

Saw one in town a couple weeks back. Looks as good in person as in the ads. I liked everything about the Genesis my dad had, except the fact the drivers seat cushion wore out after maybe a year and a half of dd’ing. All the other seats were still really comfortable though. Hopefully they fixed this since

They look pretty good, but I can't stand the taillights in person. They stand out in a bad way.

I know Kia is trying to be more upscale but when we went to test drive a Stinger the first thing I noticed was the ultra cheap feeling interior. I buy more Chevy's than anything else so it's not like my interior bar is set that high.

Got a sorrento rental while my fusion was getting body repair. The difference in quality was immediate apparent. Felt like a tin can. Damn thing literally echos closing the door. And what an underpowered POS. Way too exciting trying to get on the highway.

To those that have an issue with it- if you haven't already... Go check one out, drive it (if you can), and compare it to the rest of its competition in that range. You will be paying $15k more for the same vehicle.

Agreed. It’s a mental thing that I’m not proud if. You couldn’t pay me to drive a Hyundai or Kia.

Base model is 31k, which is a super competitive price for something with that size. 8person seating, AWD V6 w 5000lb tow rating with the base pkg; those two alone provide a lot of utility/value for the base price

Shit, they also have lane departure w/ lane centering (*this + adaptive cruise gives you a straight line / freeway self driving car), emergency braking and blind spot detection on the base model too. Step up to the next level and you get adaptive cruise control as well. For 34k that's an awesome set of features compared to the rest of the market.

I sat in one at the NYIAS and was impressed with the materials, design and fit and finish. It would take a lot for me to spend this kind of coin on a Kia though. They should just create a upper tier brand and undercut everyone by 10%. Keep Kia to the cheap transportation needs. I feel like the people who own these will be the same as those letting you know they do crossfit, vegan, etc. "I figured why spend $100k on a Benz when I get all this for $50k....right??"....no one asked.

That's basically what they're doing with the Genesis brand.

    Funny how much that helps

our company hired German designers as well and the car doesn't look half bad for an EV crossover

That's funny. I have a Kia Optima and got a fusion hybrid rental last year for a week and hated it. It had no acceleration, interior felt cheap, and the steering was way too sensitive, felt like you had to constantly correct.

I love my Kia. It's been the best car I've had. I get compliments on it from everyone who rides in it and it's 3 years old now.
