I have about as much regard for the history of the Supra line as I do for the lineage of a Ford Taurus with wheels designed to look like a flower that was bought b an owner that traded in his GT500 because he knows true love.

Toyota is making a play for those who would be interested in a 4 cylinder Infinity Q60 or Lexus RC. Those who want a sporty car who donít care for performance.

I know it’s a disappointment to LS2 but Toyota isn’t bringing the four cylinder engines to the US

Let's be real. No one gives a fuck about the history of the Supra line because originally it was just a Celica variant. No one cares about the Mk I-III Supras and few will care about the Mk V long term. The reality is that the Mk IV was an outlier.

Read in Car & Drivel that the 4-banger really will be coming to the us and it will be called Celica.

If the price point reflects the demotion that could be a fun car. The BMW N20 backed by a ZF 8speed or BMW 6 speed manual is not a terrible combo.

If it competed in the Civic SI, VW GTI, Veloster Turbo, WRX price range that would be an interesting car
