    Jeep Gladiator pricing is out

And nowhere near as bad as was predicted.

    https://jalopnik.com/the-2020-jeep-g...res-1833680540

    Jeep Gladiator Sport: $35,040
    Jeep Gladiator Sport S: $38,240
    Jeep Gladiator Overland: $41,890
    Jeep Gladiator Rubicon: $45,040

It can get pretty spendy with options (the Launch edition is ridiculous) but overall is only about a $4K bump over the equivalent Unlimited JL.

I think that seems perfectly reasonable given the price of most SUV's and small "trucks" these days.

I guarantee that within 6 months of it actually hitting dealerships I will see one in my neighborhood that is lifted with $4,000 worth of wheels and tires that never gets dirty.

I would give a new Jeep price for this one if I could afford to (and if it is 100% rust free and everything is like new condition)

That pricing is actually better than I thought it was going to be.

Yep, $4K is a steal for what your getting- pretty much everything a JLU has plus a bed and a 7,650 lb towing capacity (more than double a JLU).

That's not bad at all. They've been doing a bunch of testing out north of Las Vegas where my brother lives. He's been seeing them like clockwork out there going to/from work.

Really, the towing capacity is a huge deal. Not that people are buying Jeeps to tow, but................................with a JKU/JLU it was 3500 lbs, which is fine for a utility trailer or pop up camper but not for a car or boat. 7650 is enough for pretty much any single car trailer or reasonable sized boat.

Last summer when my XK died I would have absolutely gone with a Gladiator at those prices if it had been available. Went with a 1/2 ton truck because of the towing difference from a JLU. My last 3 vehicles have been an XJ, XK, and JK.

I have another year until my JKU Hard Rock is paid off and then I'll probably get a next model year Gladiator. Would be kinda cool to tow the CJ7 with it.

I actually bought my XK used as a second vehicle because of the 7700lb towing capacity and it ended up outlasting the JK I drove daily til it threw a rod under 100k miles.

IMO, Jeep has to be more competitive with their truck pricing. With the Wrangler they have no competition. In the "light" truck segment, they are competing with Toyota, Ford and GMC\Chevy and maybe even a Honda Ridgeline.

But I am surprised they priced it so low.

Its funny, in terms of competitive pricing I'm actually working with 4 dealerships right now around me. Decided it was time to get out of the HP game and go back to jeeps, so i'm getting into a '19 JLUR. That being said, some dealerships dip their toes into the 1%, maybe 2% under invoice game, but I'm dealing with one that is up around 6%. Guys over on the JL forums are seeing dealerships offer around 7 to as high as 8 under invoice. That's pretty damn good all things considering a lack of real competition before the new broncos come out. I wonder if these same dealerships will play the Z% under invoice game as well.

DD has a pretty good review up. I don't hate the looks of the one in his video.

Oh and just wait for this.

I'm surprised at that. Figured the auto was a standard feature and the manual (standard) was the option.

I would fucking love one of these. Best of both worlds for me. I've wanted a wrangler foreverrrr but would be hard to do away with having an actual truck/truck bed or being able to tow a decent amount.

The more I see them, the more I like them. Honestly though, I don't know if I would buy one over a ZR2 for me personally. I'd like to drive one at some point though. My wife loves Jeeps and she hated my Colorado so this might be something I could talk her into in the future.

What did you add? I just built out a Rubicon with dual tops, LED lighting, trailer tow package, the winch capable steel bumper, leather seats, cold weather package, tonneau cover, and bedliner, and it came to $52,455.

I'm guessing you got Premium Audio/NAV ($1600) and auto tranny ($2,000) but that's still about $4k shy of 60.

Good idea. A 2-3 year old one will probably sell at a 1-2% discount to new.

Jeep resale is better then most but they aren't made of gold. I see plenty of used wranglers from 2014 that have lost 30% or more

Yep. I'm surprised at how low some of the JKs are selling for. And not the first '07-'11 JKs... Some only a few years old.

Rubicon resale is beastly. The other platforms are better than peers, but not as impressive.

Back when I bought my 2015, they gave me almost $20K on my 100K+ mile, starting to rust, beat to hell 2007 JKU Rubicon on the trade.
