Cool 32K Mile Stock 1990 Mustang GT

So my brother has been looking around for something to drive, he sold his Focus ST a couple of years ago and hasn't found anything that he really liked, until last week. He found and bought this 1990 Mustang GT up near Detroit. All stock (other than the rims), never modified, 32K miles, really nice condition. I'm really looking forward to helping him do some mods right away:

He paid $7500 for it. They were asking $8200 to start.

Pretty surprised a bone stock low mileage fox only goes for 7500.

Me too. I thought it was a good deal. Now it's been sitting for the most part of the last 10 years, so it will need a few things, but still. It's really uncommon to find them like this.

    230hp to the wheels!

You looked back at the B, E, F, and X cam specs lately?

Buddy had a paper filter stock 92' Notch that made exactly 200hp on the dyno.
At the time, that was considered strong for a stock fox.

Yeah it was a lot of work to only get marginal gains but man it was fun and those old foxbody 5.0s sounded so mean with a cam and exhaust. I still miss my 93 LX 5.0 but my '13 5.0 makes it hurt a little less.

If that car is in as good of shape as it looks like, dont fuck with it at all. Take it to Mecum and profit, or just enjoy it as is. Being as how you have to mod the fuck out of it just to get it to run with a stock LS1 car in a straight line, is it really worth it?

Find the original wheels that came with the car and stick it in a garage for another 30 years.

Not a fan of the 87-93 GTs (prefer the LX) but I would pay $7500 for a mint low miles 85-86 4 eye GT in a heartbeat.

Nice price. When I was looking for a fun car, the closest low mile stock 5.0 I could find was $15,500 and I just couldn't do it. It'd have to be under 10 for me to tolerate the interior.

Things worked out though, got that 6k mile Turbo T and proceeded to dump a shit ton of money into it for it sitting untouched for 30 years, lol.

So my brother got the car to his house last week. We've already identified a few issues with it, including a squeaky throw out bearing (I literally JUST replaced the one in my '86 a couple of months ago), passenger door doesn't lock, passenger window doesn't like to go up or down, and maybe something else I'm forgetting. All minor stuff so far. The exhaust is really crazy. For some reason the previous owner left the stock catted h-pipe on it, but removed the mufflers?! It's literally got straight pipes from the h-pipe to the tips. Sounds really odd, but not totally terrible...

Doubtful. Most are probably driving Priuses and lusting after a P100D. That's assuming they even give a shit about cars and don't just Uber everywhere.
