I need your help got rod knock 😞😞 solutions
What up what up what up sighs hello all so I have a 2005 gto with Pontiac 243 patriot heads
And a Vengeance racing vrx5 cam car had about 45k miles
On it I ended getting a rod knock my Block is fine just needs to be honed
Definitely needs a crank, one rod, new bearings for crank and rods ... I've looked online for the cheapest route I've heard of I take it to a machine shop and let them do the work it and assemble it that would cost about 3,500$... with that I would rather buy an lq9 for that price . I've also seen rotating assembly 402 for about $2500 I guess my question is if I was just to buy the rotating assembly what size rods do I need to get I've notice they all have different measurements my block is a stock ls2 . I don't want to buy the wrong kit anddddd this is a daily driver

A quality rotating assembly will come with the proper rod length for the crank stroke and piston height. Most 4" crank rotating assemblies will use a 4.125" rod.
I would not recommend a 402/408 for a daily if you put a lot of miles on it due to ovaling the cylinders over time with the longer stroke.
