Someone posted an '85 in great shape for $5,500. They'd make for a fun little truck to tinker with.

It's alive! Drovebit breifly last night around the neighborhood with open headers, going to get the exhaust done in a little bit. I'll try to figure out YouTube and post a video, but there will be videos and a bunch of pictures from C10's in the park on my instagram this weekend.

751 trucks was the final count, I didn't end up taking many pics but here's a few and I'll dig through some of the pics online tonight

I can defiantly appreciate the Roadkill, wait till the last min and grind methodology, if it wasnt for the show Saturday the truck wouldnt be done for who knows how long, I dont even want to do a few of the small things I still need to do on it right now

Probably the best way to see a bunch of the trucks, I really didnt take as many pics as I thought I would, it was a little overwhelming honestly, I walked what I thought was the whole thing twice and I still see pics of trucks I never saw.

    Its not so kid friendly

My daughter would go everywhere in it if she could, instead we go to the park at the end of the street.

    Sounds and looks great!!

Thanks for the pics, I just don't get out enough any more, the summers around here are just too brutal.

Ohhh..nice swamp cooler, mad jelly. I started initial discussions with the wife about hooking up a/c in the garage for next summer so something gets done around here in the summer months.

Finally addressing the cut springs lowering kit on the truck

Drop spindles, springs, shocks, new upper control arms all going on soon. Probably new lower ball joints too

3” drop spindles plus 2” springs = it’s coming back apart

Probably going with a stock height spring and I’ll trim a little if needed after it settles

Getting the ride height correct is a beating

Original ride height was 28 3/8” at the fender
Spindles ans 2” springs dropped it down to 27 1/4”

So naturally stock springs would raise it up to 31”

Going to drive it all week and let them settle and start cutting on Friday

Since the swap I had not hooked up the gas gauge and the tach and speedo didnt work. Finally quit being lazy the other night and got everything working and played with some other setting on the gauges, I love these things!

If the weather holds up this weekend im hoping to get it out to a couple car shows.

Averaging about 14.5 mpg with spirited driving around town, no highway miles to really speak of. Not too shabby for what it is. Truck is a blast to drive.

The "wants" list never gets any smaller, but the "needs" list is just about complete.

Not the best picture of the stance due to the slope of the field, I need to get it out and take some decent pictures one of thee days.

So the donor engine/tranny came out of a truck that was rear ended pretty hard, the driveshaft was pushed all the way up into the tranny. Lately the truck has been making some whining noises at low vehicle speed, I was worried something was broke in the tranny. Turns out it was the new rear seal I put on the tranny just to be safe, the dust boot is rubbing on the driveshaft causing all the noise

I think I am going to pull the tranny this weekend though, the rear main seal or rear cover is leaking on the motor Ill probably do a shift kit while the tranny is out too.

Little things that make a big difference... new side marker lenses and tail light lenses for Christmas

Replaced the rear main and cover seals on the motor this past week and did a shift kit on the tranny while it was out. Im sore, tired, and wish I had a lift more now than ever

A little redneck engineering to get the heavy ass 4l80e back on the tranny jack while under the truck

Me too, I made sure to keep my hands clear of any pinch points Honestly I didnt expect them to work, but they held long enough for me to slide the jack under it.

The correct fastener for the front side marker lamps is a stainless steel button head torx. The tail lamps use a similar but longer.

Sorry, pet peeve of mine. I keep all my old fasteners from parts vehicles and junk fenders on a piece of card board with holes punched thru it and in order of where they go on the vehicle. Yeah, my wife calls me quirky too.

I also repainted the inside of my tail lamps and fitted all new brighter bulbs in all the exterior lamps, it makes a huge difference

I’m aware, I have 4 of the 8 rear torx screws the rest are assorted shit. They were all rusty and nasty, I cleaned me up and at least painted them black.

I haven't pulled our new radiator out of the box so you made me have to look it up. Both hoses are on the passenger side on ours.

Thx, will the truck accessories work with the a-body? When I did the LS swap in my Chevelle there wasn't an internet full of people that had already done it and I found out the hard way that the f-body accessories wouldn't work. Ended up having to find a corvette accessory setup.

I'm 90% sure they will. I did have to order a smaller power steering pulley, which should be here today, so that it will clear the steering gear box. Other than that I don't think there are going to be any issues.
