Schumacher caught speeding on the highway

F1 star Michael Schumacher was caught speeding off the track near his hometown of Kerpen, Germany. Driving his Audi Cabriolet, Schumacher was fined 75 euros ($107 USD) and received three points on his license.

Schumacher was pulled over in a 100kmh (62 mph) zone going 140kmh (87 mph) according to German media.

Im really sorry, it is out of character for me. Speeding is for the race tracks only, he told German newspapers.

While that was really genuine of him to say - we feel if youre Schumacher, you shouldve been caught going at least 187 mph.

yea, 100 km/h zones suck, 80s are even more painful, 120s I can deal with though

Glad they wrote a story about it. That's shocking news. And 87 mph is crazy fast. Absolutely insane.

I believe over there it is. Even their "high speed chases" get lower speeds than what we see in the US.

Has anyone not been pulled over for going that fast? Doesn't seem news worthy.

I enjoyed the other story about him when he flew in to some place to pick up something, and the taxi driver wouldn't drive fast enough, so Schumacher told him to move over... Let me try to find it....

    Here:

    Taxi for Schumacher

    Schumacher and wife Corinna
A taxi driver in Germany was left shaken and stirred after handing his keys over to seven-times Formula One champion Michael Schumacher.
Schumacher, 38, asked to take the wheel as he was running late for a flight.

"I found myself a passenger, which was strange enough, but having 'Schumi' behind the wheel was incredible," said taxi driver Tuncer Yilmaz.

"He drove at full throttle around the corners and overtook in some unbelievable places."

What do you think of Schumacher's antics?
Schumacher had flown into the Bavarian town of Coburg to pick up an Australian Shepherd dog called Ed.

He was accompanied by his wife and children to pick up the puppy and the family were late getting back to the local aerodrome for their return flight.

After giving the cabbie an unforgettable experience, Schumacher also gave him a 100 Euro tip.

The dog will be the latest addition to the Schumacher family menagerie, which includes one dog that he brought home from Brazil when his wife Corinna fell for it as it wandered around as a stray while they were at the Grand Prix in Sao Paulo.
