Grand National and GNX Nameplates Returning

I can't remember what all details were available when this was initially announced. I'm not even sure it was announced that the GNX would be returning, but it is. If this is ALL old news then read it again. Via C&D..........

Sounds like the GNX will get the same TTV6 the 2014 CTS Sport is getting.
Lots of parts bin swapping so hopefully they won't be too spendy

Looking at the fugly design of the "new" GN/GNX, you have to wonder if any of the original team members who worked on the 1987 GNX are even still working for GM? Retired?

How sad to see the GNX nameplate slapped on that ugly thing.

As a buick GN owner, I disagree with the above and think the rendering in the link but in black looks awesome... And much better than the ATS.

Could we possibly make the car any uglier? That thing makes the Aztek look drivable.

Such a bland, uninspiring, pedestrian design.

Let's take an automotive icon and give it a homely and forgettable design so that everyone will hate it

Looks good to me, although not what I would have imagined for a GN/GNX.

Can someone explain to me how the 3.6 NA V6 in the Camaro makes 323 hp yet the twin turbo version of that motor in the GNX is expected to only make 400 hp?

It's a great looking sedan, but I think nameplates like GN and GNX should be reserved for a coupe.

Do you people not fucking read? The use of should in nearly every fucking sentence that have "details" about the vehicles is a very blatant clue that C&D is making assumptions about nearly every detail of the vehicles. Not only that, that picture is clearly a photo-shopped guess of what it will look like.

Yeah, the car should totally stay exactly the same as the 80s model, otherwise it isnt worthy of the GN name

To be honest, I would rather have GM use the '87 GNX body and refine it to make it more aerodynamic and modern while still retaining the classic and distinctive lines of the original GNX.

Anything is better than that abomination shown in the article.

I'm pretty sure it could have 2 doors, and still be different from the original.

And it would have alot smaller potential buyer pool with only 2 doors. Stop living in the past.
