    Unhappy EBCM Problem Code C0110 :S

    hey guys ,,

    im facing a problem with my braking system ,,, actually my car was in maintenane ,, i have changed the crank pulley ,, and fixed oil leak from the engine pan,,, after turnung on the car ,,, esp is off abs fault and the brake light is on too ,,, weve connected the car on the tech 2 ,, and the DIC showed EBCM ( electronic brake control module) C0110
    return pump circuit malfunction.

    the question is ,, do i have to change the whole abs pump ,,, or is it a sensor problem.? and how much does it cost ,,,

    It would help greatly if you told us what year and model car you are talking about. Yes, even if it's a Saudi version.

    I have a simular problem that I could use some help on. 2004 chevy Tahoe. A few weeks ago my wife told me she was making a turn and the stability control or traction control lit up on the dash. A few weeks later she turned the Tahoe on and the ABS, T/C, and service stability lights are all on. The error code shows C0110. My friend has a computer and checked the code but the wierd thing is it showed the car was doing 3 MPH while we were stopped. The battery hasn't died so the pump hasn't been running continuously and we got the car up to 50 MPH and locked down the brakes but it didn't slide. It was like the ABS was still somewhat functioning. I dont know if I have a bad pump, bad ECBM, or bad wheel sensors. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Dont know if its relavent but this model has the Z in the VIN so the pump has more cylinders then the normal pump, I think 10 or 12?

    iaoun,

    on my 2004, the EBCM is on top of the pump. They can be seperated and are two different parts. From what I've read, the EBCM on certain cars can be sent off and the sensor inside repaired at a fraction of the cost of a new one. I belive the sensor is inside the module but please don't quote me on this, I'm trying to get some info myself.

    Yes I know the 2007 Lumina SS.
    It has the L98 6.0 engine (not LS2) same as the VE Holdens.
    G8 came out in 2008, the G8-GT has the L76 6.0 engine, similar to your L98 except they have AFM and only Auto trans with it.

    Think of an L98 (6.0) as an LS2 engine block with better heads and a better intake manifold, but a smaller cam. Only real downside with L98 is the heavy intake valves and the tiny cam. You can swap out the intake valves for lighter LS3 valves and get an aftermarket camshaft to make a cheap rocket.
