Post changing cam on 05 GTO

I want to know what kind of cam i should get for my 05 GTO. I want it to be little more aggressive. I plan on getting a super charger for it when it comes out. Is it possible to get a list what I need for mods when i do this. They probly been listed before but i didnt catch it.

There are several FI options out there... give the guys at Thunder Racing (to the right) a call.. they know their stuff when it comes to recommending parts!

Really aggressive cams and FI don't mix as a big cam with a lot of overlap will rob you of boost. Talk to some of our sponsors (Futral, Thunder, TSP, etc) about an FI-specific cam.

Are there any FI cams out there for the 05? Besides getting a custom grid.

Take a look at the Comp cam that we had ground for our twin turbo Corvette in the project car section of my website. I have the specs of the cam listed there. The customer wanted a lopey sounding cam and this cam sounds really good, plus it made awesome power, and he passed emmissions when he took it back to Tenn. Bob

    I have S-Cam from HPE

    Specs are 238/242 .608/.612 115 LSA

Together with Ported Throttle body, ASP underdrive pully, and NGK plugs we made 388hp/356tq on dyno jet with just a quicky tune. I have this set up still on the stock exhuast as well with headers to come at a later date. If you want a good shake at idle this cam will do it for you but it is still very easy to drive.

You'll be well over 400rwhp with an exhaust setup.

There is a guy with an 05 on the GTO forum who has an LPE intake & Kooks headers and a dyno tune. He then added the Magnaflow catback and made 397rwhp/385rwtq. Before the catback he made like 377rwhp so he made good power by adding the cat-back.

This list here can be found in the services section of my website. The GTO does not need an AC recharge. We remove the front bumper assembly to swap camshafts, and the AC does not need to be discharged. Bob

Who has the ability to dyno tune the 05's? I was under the impression that nobody has the software yet.

Chuck at HPE is using the beta version of the LS2 edit. He is able to do a lot but we found out a lot about this motor. Here is a link to my post about my whole cam and tune process. Make sure to read the last page of the post Chuck does a good job explaning what he has found so far.
