May need to trade the Subaru in ...

So 2013 Crosstrek with 90k miles

Have had random issues for last 20k, some are standard others not so much. CV Joints i guess fine.

Then the AC O rings sent out

Then the key was impossible to get out of the ignition, not sure if its as just a dirty ignition switch or what eventually seemed to be fine

Then AC Compressor went out last month

Get back from my trip last night every orange light that could blink was blinking

went to Autozone to see the codes

    Transmission control system

Torque converter clutch pressure control solenoid control circuit low

    Po700
    P2764
Seems like it could be anywhere from nothing to new computer to new tranny.

    ....

Stupid, vaguely related question, but I thought the Crossteks had a CVT? I wouldn't think it'd have a torque converter then.

If it's the TCC solenoid it's typically a $20 part buried in 2k of work to drop the transmission and open it up.

Hey weren't you also considering a Scat Pack last month...sounds like it's allah's will!

It’s my understanding Subaru extended their CVT warranty to 100k miles. I got something in the mail on it, I would call Subaru.

wow just read an article you are correct its 10years/100k miles ... so I maybe in luck.

    At the subbie dealer now

course even if it was over they said
Vehicles that are already older or have higher mileage have a one-year extension, ending July 31, 2018.

Sounds like typical subaru quality issues.

Does every Subaru 4 cyl still have head gasket issues?

I never understood the Subaru loyalists talking about how wonderful they were when they had to change head gaskets like others changed timing belts.....

2009 and newer it is not a common issue anymore (I think I have the year right).

Right? Some of the electrical gremlins in this car remind me of a car from the 80s. Luckily for me, most have been under warranty. FYI, I have replaced 8 headlights on my car since owning it in 2013.

My wife's old Kia was the same way. Each side would burn out about twice a year. I was buying headlights in fucking bulk.

Fix the Subaru & get rid of it. CVT = headache.

Gf's traverse likes to eat headlight bulbs. Shitbox.

Headlights was specifically what I was thinking about

Every other Subaru I see has a headlight or taillight out.

COME to think of it my 2005 WRX had tailiights that would go out

Haven't had that issue in this one.

Course many cars are going towards CVT

Other downside is most of the cars I like will be headaches too or just pricey on gas

I'll hope to least it a year

he wishes the car to last for another year without any problems with the potential of trading it in there.

APparently Subaru must be having a ton of problems because they have no clue when i am going to get the transmission in so they are putting me in a rental car ... could be 2 weeks, 6 weeks ... who knows
