    2014 Silverado LTZ headlights

They are horrible and I am just tired of it. To be honest, I am not too mechanically inclined but am willing to give it a go if someone says its pretty simple. The first thing is, I am not sure if I need to buy a whole headlight kit or just the bulbs. In my research I am supposedly suppose to have the projector headlight since it is an ltz? Does anyone have any experience in switching them out and can advise me a good product?

Don't use LED. You will be severely disappointed. Get in HID conversion kit.

I also run these in my 2014 Sierra. No issues with DRLs etc. Great light output too

not on the gmc...they fit in the stock pos projector location...
i upgraded the fogs to a LED bulb that plugs in to factory harness / can't remember where i got those from...
i did those the same time i replace all the white bulbs to LED so it would all match...cargo light - much brighter/ licence plate lights/ back up lights/ etc..

    I did the same thing

fog lights really don't serve much purpose other than looks once you get a real HID setup

I picked up a set of LED fog light bulbs that plug in the factory harness and match my headlights

    yes

4500k will give you a crisp white look

when you start going higher you get into the blues and purples

    low beams only

    high beams stay halogen

on mine (not a truck) I have bi-xenon projectors so they open up for the high beams also

    it's bright as hell

your high beams don't have a projector

putting an HID bulb into a non-projector setup = terrible and rice and fuk u

You shouldn't put Hid's in your high beams. Too much cycling.

Stock chevy projectors suck ass with Hid's. The gmc's are better. My 2014's were dangerously inadequate with hid bulbs. Lots of dead space and hot spots. I did the FX-r conversion.

You don't cut them up. They make adapter brackets to where you simply unbolt the stock projectors, bolt in the adapter, then FX-r. The hardest part is just cutting and extending the back access caps that go over the housing.

    damn, do my '08 too
I need to polish the headlight housing something terrible. I'm sure that isn't helping anything but the lights could definitely be brighter.

This guy at my local shop said he would put them in but wants to steal me to LED. He said technology has came a long way since HID and that LED is brighter??? He said the components in my kit have it built into the led light, like a fan and modulator I guess.

Negative, LED isn't there yet unless you have headlights designed for them. You also have sealed housings.

If you have the projectors just put in a 35w Morimoto 4500k kit and call it done. The gmc bixenon projectors are fairly adequate with hid bulbs.
