Do they not sell a precut kit on eBay? I did suntek on my truck and it only took 3 or so hours to do the whole front. You can't tell it's on there unless you look for the edges.

Yeah but the kit I found was I think $350 so I'd rather pay a little more to have someone do it lol

Picked up 2 nails last week as well. Both driver side tires.

    37x12.5x 20's are not cheap

Damn that's a big ole tire. I know a set of buckshots will run $1,600. but that's on a much smaller wheel.

Ya it's a beast. Biggest truck and tire I have ever owned. The tires come up to my short guy waist line I feel like as well.

These are damn near at the wear bars too so no real point in patching them (not leaking yet in either tire). It's just time to replace. I really think I am going to go down to a 35x12.5x20, lot more options out there too.

for the 37's on tire rack I get 4 options total from $347 - $456

37x12.5x 20 I don't think is a standard size. 37x13.5x20 or 37x12.5x17 are more and probably a bit cheaper. To bad tread Depot isn't out there anymore. They had MasterCraft course mxt's at a bargain.

I can buy a stock set of Michelins for my GMC for $800-$1000 that will last for ~80,000 miles. Damn those lifted trucks.

Can't do a 13.5, the 12.5 have a nice rub when a weighted sharp turn is made and it is from the width, not height. Also not buying rims....have a clean set of Moto Metal 20's on the truck and zero plans to get rid of them or invest that much into this truck. Hell doing tires is close enough for me to just saw "next" and sell the thing lol.

That's why I think I am going down to 35's. 14 options on tire rack and it should be an easier tire to turn as well for the truck.

Open to all tires really. Would like to move on from the M/T's to be honest. Not a great highway tire in the rain and we take this truck when we travel anywhere.

The Goodyear Duratrac is a great option. Will be pricey at 35" on a 20 though.

You have anything against the ko2? They are redonculously quiet for how gnarly they look. They won't be as expensive as the duratrac either.

I don't think I will be finding a "cheap" tire no matter what so most everything is on the table.

Yeah I wouldn't have done it but already have brass monkey repops sitting in my garage. The 2017 wheels are going for $3000 a set, figured I'd drive them for awhile and flip em.

I kinda like the five spoke better, gives it a more classic look IMO. Original ones look generic and almost cheap.

    Charger or challenger?

The cool thing about the SRT is that if you put it in track mode, it keeps the exhaust valves open 100% of the time.

Challenger, 2016, black/black. Already have a call out to my buddy at the speed shop for springs and an alignment, the ONLY thing I don't love about the challenger is how tall they sit. Does yours have the active suspension? I'm sure that may create an issue with diff springs.

This is a "no haggle" dealer, they are at just under $46k. Going to see if they'll do $46k OTD (likely wishful thinking at a 8.9% tax rate), and see if they can beat 2.99%. Saturday morning at 8am

i have the scat, which is pretty much a RT with a 392 and the brakes off the old SRT model. so no active suspension. as far as sitting too tall, it depends on the angle. it looks jacked up from the back, but from every other angle is fine. given that they put big rims on them, i can't imagine wanting to lower it anyway. would probably fuck up the ride too.

    what's the sticker?

edit: and slow down. if you want to mess with the suspension, don't buy a SRT. get a scat pack for $40k or under, then do whatever you want to the suspension. the entire point of the SRT over the scat pack is the suspension.

    what's the sticker?

edit: and slow down. if you want to mess with the suspension, don't buy a SRT. get a scat pack for $40k or under, then do whatever you want to the suspension. the entire point of the SRT over the scat pack is the suspension.
    $54,080

The springs are MOPAR or HR springs that give around 22mm drop, approved for active suspension. This is the general idea:

that looks great, but the nose is going to hit every parking stone there is. be careful.

that's a fair deal though set track mode to default and drive around everywhere with the exhaust valves open. have you driven one before?

No, this Saturday will be the first. What are some other adjustments I should look out for? I admittedly don't know much about the engine/suspension modes I should shoot for. How difficult is parking this sumbitch in a crowded parking lot?

There's a bunch of things you can set, especially on a SRT or HC. I'd probably play with the suspension modes on the test drive. Switch between the most comfortable and the stiffest, see how the difference is. you can change the steering a ton too. You can set it from grandma one finger turn to real stiff.

Parking is easy unless you're only used to driving miatas or something.

But don't put yourself in any situation where you need to be able to see out the passenger c-pillar, because there's zero visibility on that corner. I think it's worse than the 5th gen Camaro.

Around here, that's only about $5000 away from the price of a hellcat Challenger. Get the Hellcat. It will be the cheapest 200+ horsepower you could possibly get, especially with a warranty.

They offered him the car for 46. Otherwise, yeah, might as well spend the extra 5k

He's not getting it for $54k lol they aren't coming off the HC that much to justify it anyways, I'm sure.

Around here Hellcats are common on lots, a few dealerships having 6-10 sitting on the lot, and advertised price of 60-62k. Even for a 10K difference the hellcat should be attractive to think about for how much more you get.

I think for $10k I'd have gone for it. It would have been an extra $20k for me, which was easier to say no to.

I had a scat pack as rental. You'll still be having a good bit of fun with 485hp

Needs to be, otherwise it wouldn't keep up with the Camaro. It needs every bit of that extra 35hp over the Camaro to help counteract it's own fatness.

for whatever my opinion is worth, after owning mine for 3-4 months now, it's definitely my favorite out of the cars i've owned.

auto is the way to go. the trans is magic. every other auto i've owned, when it shifts at full throttle, there's a split second of delay between shifts where there is no power being applied to the ground. there's zero delay here when it shifts -- you hear a pop from the exhaust and the tach drops, but there is no break in the surge of power at all.

the only real negatives i can think of are the non-existent rear corner visibility and the too small side mirrors.

coming from a bmw, you're going to be surprised at the stock exhaust. it's louder than my fox with 2 chamber flows. the exhaust valves must be programmed to shut in the exact scenarios where testing for noise regs is performed.

just be sure what you want what the car is. it's not a nimble sportscar. if you want that feel, buy a 6th gen camaro ss.
