    Hellcat Durango?

That would imply the test vehicle was actually rocking a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 taken from the Charger and Challenger Hellcats where it pumps out a monstrous 707 hp.

Automotive News says it will be an SRT version rather than a full-on Hellcat model, but with our spies mentioning the prototype had a Hellcat-like rumble, we’ll just have to wait and see.

No way will it be a Hellcat. It's just getting SRT treatment.

This. If they were close enough to hear it, they probably would have heard the blower. They can't even get the hellcat grand Cherokee out.

Shut up berman. We definitely need basically a grand Cherokee srt8 but with smaller brakes, tires, less suspension, and no interior options.

    YES PLEASE

But will probably be SRT version of Durango.

The 360hp Hemi is too weak to move that massive thing.

It will be pretty cool to get the SRT treatment in the slightly larger platform.

Not really. I think my Grand Cherokee with the Hemi moves pretty damn good for the weight with the 8 speed. I mean, more HP would be better, but it will get up to speed quick enough to get out in front of people. Still wish it was the SRT I found and missed out on. lol

Not really.....? What? That it's not enough power for the Durango? I test drove a Durango R/T prior to getting my JGC. I felt that the Durango was too big/heavy for the 360hp Hemi.

On the other hand, my 2014 JGC Summit with the Hemi moves NICELY. Especially in sport mode. I have the paddle shifters on the wheel and that makes it even more fun.

There is about a 300 lb difference between the JGC and the Durango. I'm not sure that's enough to really feel much different when you're talking about 5,000lb vehicles, but maybe so.

To be honest, maybe it was the way the JGC handled, vs the Durango. Or that it was a decently long amount of time between the time i test drove the R/T and the JGC. My Jeep feels quicker though.

You can say what you want about Dodge but they are on top of the game when it comes to factory exhaust sounds for V8s

Agreed. I remember being a hardcore GM guy, but as i've aged, i've learned to appreciate and like other makes. FCA's styling and bang for the buck is at the top of the game.

Just sucks that their build quality and service is that of a third world country. With an attitude.

    Yes. Yes they are.

    Cut to 50 seconds in.

    Stock Scatpack

Sounds even better with bullet mufflers in place of the stock midmufflers

Scat packs are loud enough with the stock exhaust.

You got a point. I have only driven the JGC. I just couldn't imagine the weight difference being that big of a deal, but maybe they restrict the hemi in the Dodge like Chevy used to do with the LS1.

It's possible. I also noticed that my 02 WS6 handles differently than my 86 WS6 used to. The 02 is more top heavy and had more body roll to it, IMO, than my 86 was. Maybe this is the same for the JGC vs the Durango.
