If I saw those wheels by themselves I wouldn't pick them for your truck, but they look great on there. If you have title in hand I am prepared to give you $500.00 CASH and a poster of George Costanza on a bear skin rug.

I will need you to make delivery.

Silver might not look bad with the right wheels and chrome.
My brother had a 85 Chevy that was painted exactly like this one. It looked sharp, until it was stolen. He replaced it with a 1987 victory red reg cab shortbed.

Ha... my granddad had a GMC painted up exactly like that, that was also stolen. The cops found it and the guy wrecked it trying to get away.

Not something I've ever been in traditionally, I've always preferred 5 spokes. I'm pretty happy with how it looks though. Glad I went with a little taller tire too.

I think when a car thief is caught the owner of the vehicle he stole should get to hit him a couple of times with a tire iron.

"Hello Mr. Smith? This is Sergeant Dilbert. We recovered your vehicle today along with the thief. We have him in custody now. If you could come down to the station with identification and a tire iron we can release the vehicle to you and give you to free hits on the thief. Thanks."

    Yes

I bought a 1997 Miata. I've been enjoying it for what it is but have no long term attachment.

Yeah, I've noticed that. I might stop and look at this one if it's not raining this afternoon. I also saw a step side, mid to late 70's Chevy rcsb yesterday. White with wide meats on stock looking rally wheels. Looked killer. I've always like the step side in that body style too.

I bought another one, I couldn't pass it up, it's out of San Angelo TX from State of Texas, it will be here this weekend.

    87 Custom Deluxe, 305/350, short, 2wd.

Initial game plan, when I finally get to it, is to put the interior from the parts truck along with all the used trim that I've replace on the other two trucks and get a quick and dirty white respray. We are defleeting a 05 Chevy Express 3500 at work and I trying to cut a deal on it for the LQ4 and 4l80E.

You can, but it makes me question how everything else on the truck was done when you start talking about doing shit like welding the rear.

Ive already have to correct plenty of crap on my truck that was rigged up over the years, and there's still more to go

If I can remeber to I will. It isat a gated self storage lot I pass everyday. It has been there for over a year but the owner just put the for sale sign on it within the past week. It always looks clean, I think the owner drives it around fairly regularly.

It is this bodystyle and color but it has different wheels and tinted windows.

Its a motherfucker finding these trucks too, I searched c10, c1500, silverado, swb, sierra, 1500, truck, and ultimately found this truck by simply searching "gmc" it was listed as a 1985 GMC, so im sure it got little traffic.

The same can be said for browsing for LS1's in the past year. It's insane what people are asking now and I think it's a bunch of people our age who are willing to pay it to relive their younger years. I know I wouldn't mind having another LS1.

I'm curious as well. Maybe the sign will have an asking price? I'd fly out to Texas and drive a car home

Quit watching it, "needs cab mounts and rockers" f^ck that. It will cost you more to fix it than it is to ship a clean one from a dry state, seriously. I doubt you really want one like that and I'm sure the guy you sell it to when your done with it isn't going to want one that was all patched up either.

Have not done much for a while but drive it. Finally getting to the point where stupid problems are not popping up every week.

Made it to the vision wheels website though, thought that was pretty cool.

Awesome! What did it cost if you don't mind me asking?

I'm talking with two different sellers at the moment. One is a 74 and already has an LQ4 and 4L80E swapped in. The second is a 79 with a built 355 and muncie 4 speed.

Originally paid $5,800 for the truck and it wasnt without its flaws

Paid $2,400 for the donor truck, most 6L/4L80 combos around here are going for 2-2200. Hopefully I can flip some parts off the donor and make a few bucks back.

What's wrong with the donor truck? Just high mileage with the usual high mileage problems?

smashed pretty hard in the back, drove it home but would take more work than this worth to make it road worthy again

Ah, okay. That makes sense. I was going to say it looked pretty fire from that angle.

Lonestar Auctioneers is selling off a bunch of old Tx Dot trucks, high miles but 5.3 equipped. There may be a 6.0 in there.

I've been hunting like crazy around here. The question I am trying to figure out is how much rust is too much.

I would loveto find a 1/2 ton short bed Dodge from the 80s, and drop a hellcat drivetrain in it.

Cab corners is a bitch. My truck has almost 0 rust, only thing I have found is a dime size hole in the passenger floorboard
