GM is turning 100 this September and is using the 2008 cruise to celebrate classic car culture and look back at some of the cars that have shaped its history. On Saturday, August 16, at 7:30 a.m., GM is hosting the GM Century Cruise, where more than 100 GM vehicles from the last 100 years will parade up Woodward Avenue.

As part of this celebration of classic cars, GM will crown a “top cruiser” from the Century Cruise. Each cruiser will be assigned a number, which can be found on http://dreamcruise.gmnext.com. Fans can vote for their favorite car by texting GM and the assigned number to 466398 (GMnext) between August 6, 2008, and August 16, 2008, at 6 p.m. For example, to vote for car number one, text GM1 to 466398. Voters can vote for their favorite car as often as they’d like. The announcement of the winner will be made Saturday evening. Please see the attached press release for more information.
