    Hi i was hoping you could steer me in the right direction about a oil pump. i have a L77 witch i am doing a cam upgrade and also removing all of the DOD hard ware, howerver i have read on this forum that the L77 has a high volume Oil pump standard(because of the DOD) will this pump still be ok to run ?? as i am using this engine in a conversion and have changed sumps to suit conversion i am a little worried of pumping the sump dry as the oil volume is around 6.6 liters(is this ok ) and the engine will be used at high RPM. your advise will be most appricated

    Hi there mate I see your the local ls guru have a 04 vz maloo was stolen recovered and missing main modules and computer we have replaced these with another set from a accident damaged vehicle that was running but in the ute we seem to be getting no spark or injector pulse security seems to be ok as no errors on dash or beeping to indicate a failure would u have any idea what could be going wrong ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    GTO Guru, need your advice. My oil pump went on the GTO. I received an original quote for a simple rebuild of $4,500.00 to $5,000.00 again for a simple rebuild from a shop that has been working on the Goat for the past 4 years. The motor was removed and torn down- no change in the price. I then drop off a Check and now I receive a new estimate of $6,781.85 (again a new estimate meaning it could be more once done). What do you think, for they original gave me a high end rebuild quote of $7,000.00. Does this seem reasonable or gouging/ give me one price and then switch once the engine is out. I can email you the breakdown- let me know, thanks- AL

    You should not need a BCM or body harness to install an OBD2 connection.

    OBD2 will save a lot of time and guesswork.

    hsv-gts-300 this is aztek last year around this time u gave me advice about putting ls2 into a 95 camaro i did everything u said k member oilpan ls1harnesses extension harnessesmy car starts up idles alittle high then settles i give it gasi dies i took it to shop frustrating..so they cant get data link from obd2 they bypassedthe body harness and have continuity power ground what u think

    Hi Mr HSV from Australia. New here and reading some of your posts. Sounds like you know your stuff. Can you check my question re 06 GTO LS2 into my V6 2009 CTS. I spend a lot of time in OZ with GM re their new LPG cars... but they aren't much help re swapping things Regards Peter

    Bro i checked some stuff out so that pigtailwill work so i shouldnt chang e my tbody and do you think i should buy a ls1 wiring harness so my ls2harness and ecm are absolete and do i change steering knuckle to ls1 and k member
