One of my dream cars.
1978 Trans Am SE WS6 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2463956877&category=6427&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWA%3AIT&rd=1)

I bet it brings big bucks--very hard to find a '78 with WS6, W72, Y84, 4-speed all in one package. Only problem is tan interior--I would prefer black.
Still, :worship: '78 WS6 SE

OMG it is fine.
The wheels are wrong for 78 though but they look better than what is suppose to be on it.
I know this cause I had one I was restoring. The 8" wide wheels on 78 Bandits are suppose to look like the gold bird wheels. All gold except for the very very outer edge is suppose to be polished. and thats what was on my bandit when i got it out of the barn.
I found the article about it in a service article from 78. But I was gonna have them redone like those on that car cause they look better. :D

I didn't notice that! You are correct, Blurr. I don't think the 8" rim with the fully polished lip was used on WS6 SE's until 1979. I found this gold '78 SE with the correct '78 WS6 8" wheels, with the gold color extending out to the edge of the wheel:

I agree with you that the '79 rims look better on the car.

The bidding got up to $29,600  (still below reserve) and the seller ended the auction early. He must have gotten an offer he couldn't refuse.

I LOVE those cars. I'm trying to find a 77-79 SE right now. I want one that I can work on myself, not one that perfect.
