I have one for my '03 Cobra..

they're just like Hypertech's...

you have to load the factory tune nack on the car before using it on another vehicle

This is actually not true. Once a Predator is used on a vehicle, it marries itself to that vehicle. No amount of reinstalling the factory tune will change that.

It has been rumored that Diablosport will reflash the unit and unlock it, but they really don't like doing it, so I wouldn't count on it.

You can still use it as a code reader and diagnostic tool, but you just won't be able to use the tuning features.

WRONG on the GM side.

they are vin locked.

they do make great scantools though ;)

I bought one for $40, with the factory tune back uploaded....

don't count on diablo unlocking it, if your bought it used, the only times i know that that has happened, is when the car get totaled, and the original owner buys a new vehicle, all required , police reports, ect.
