Has anyone put headers on a 3.8L ? If so which ones are the best and how difficult was it to put on? I plan on doing my whole exhaust here shortly. Any suggestions?

The only headers offered for these cars right now are the RKSports and the Pace Setters. Both will net you similar gains, but i hear the RKSports have flange issues.. i'm not exactly sure though. As far as the install goes, if you can put your car up on jack stands, and don't mind laying under the car for a while, it's actually not that bad. My Pace setters went right in, and i only had a minor fitting issue with the y-pipe. Before the turbo, headers were the best mod i put on my car.

pace setters would probably be best. half the price of the RKSports. and a whole lot less then that CIA or what ever it is headers some people get. minor issues can be solved by a local shop..

I think that all Pacesetter Y-pipes take some work. But to me it's worth it because it's cheap. Minor fix that's well worth the saved money.

Where the y pipe was supposed to connect to the headers was about 3/4" too narrow. We took a torch, heated up one of the bends, and bent the section outward to get it to fit. Once in, it only took alittle while for my computer to get used to them, and the car ran like a dream

dude go to CamaroV6 (http://www.camarov6.com) they have a killer message board for us V6er's. They are always talking about headers. Pacesetters seem to be the popular choose. It all depends on what you want to spend. Pacesetters are the cheapest, then RKSport's usually run about $500, and CIA has some for about $600-$650. I got the pacesetters. I'll have them installed next week. After that I'll post some sound clips for you.

thats where I found most of the info regarding the headers and what not. It's a damn good site for V6er's. Getting the bread together and get a whole exhaust done on mine, from headers, cat, and 3" cat-back system.

I have the CIA headers on my car. I got in on the original group perchase for them when CIA was designing them a couple years ago. I was happy with them and we didn't have any problems putting them in at all. Only thing is like others have said they are more expensive then the other headers out there.
