bought some used chrome zr1's, and they're in pretty good shape, but they're pretty dirty.

simple question, what's the best way to get em nice and shiny?

dirty as in washing them doesn't work? wash them real good, you can clay them also! ocne you get them clean - keep them cleaned and waxed.

i put some soap on them and hosed em down, but they're still pretty dirty. they look great from like 10 feet away, but if you get close you can see all the crap on them.

is there a way i can polish them or something?

After you get em shiny, just wash them when you wash the car.

I like to use the car wash after the car is done, it makes it look good. Then dry them good to keep them from water spotting.

well, right now they're off the car, so it should be pretty easy to clean em up

Gonna have to get some chrome polish...
Do you guys take your wheels off now and then to clean the inside? Mine have brake dust/grime caked on... :(

Don't bother with chrome polish. What I do is clean them good once, using a soft brush or cotton towel with half rubbing alcohol, half distilled water. Then, I would prep it the same way you do with the paint before you use Zaino (minus the clay bar) and Zaino the hell out of those wheels. Zaino seems to hold up better than most products from the brake heat. After you have them cleaned really well and zainoed, you can just QD to clean them and add another layer of zaino every one to 2 weeks.

Yes, take them off, clean them really really good, then zaino them when you get the chance. Also, I use EBC Greenstuff brake pads, they are almost completely dustless. I use to use that zaino proccess before these pads too and it helped out a lot.
