Since I started going to the track I've been plagued with 2.3 second and longer 60' times...

I've been launching at 3000 RPM and I wonder if I should be reving higher or what? I've heard of so many people pulling off 2.0 Second 60' times but I just can't seem to pull that off... I've been pulling 15.7's where I should be 15.0 or less... I'm pulling almost 90 MPH in the 1/4 mile so I know I've got the power.

Who has the best tecnique?

3000rpms = too high. Try slipping at 1700/2000rpm range. That's the way I launch my car.

Here's your motivation to do better...first time at track w/stick in a FWD econobox I pulled a 2.26 :)

See now if you had auto I could help you there. I almost had my auto down to the 2.0x range with stock tranny/suspension/tires.

Just floor it. If you get perfect traction, stall it higher the next time. I was able to pull consistant 2.1's just flooring it at the 3rd yellow light...this was A4 with 3.42's.

I slip it at about 3000rpm. That's what i did on my 14.4 run.

I guess it's just that the slipping of the clutch takes time off of my 60' because if I'm too quick to drop it the wheels spin... when I get my nitto 555's I suspect I'm going to gain a significant amount on launch...
