For those who have just removed your Camaro grille and filled in the holes, how was the process? How long did it take to be completed in the shop?

When I looked into this a few months ago, the shop I asked said the front bumper needed to be removed to do this and then repainted afterwards. Most of the cost was going to be the labor to remove/reinstall the bumper. I think just that part was going to be $200 or so

Thats crazy. I took the front bumper cover off the 2nd week I had the car to take the grille out (didn't know the rip it off trick). Only took 10 minutes to get it off. If I could get the vette running I could go without the car for a few days and just take the bumper up to them. I think I need to check in on this!!

Definitely. And make sure they use the right stuff to fill it in. Regular filler will eventually pop out. The real deal is flexible bumper heated stuff.

And yes, that's the technical name for it ;)

Somebody will know what it's actually called. Who knows, maybe the shop will even know.

The fillers I've used for filling in urethane noses (darn people who install front plates :o) have been 2 part mix-n-use fillers. An auto body supply place can direct you to the stuff no problemo.
