Top care ?

I only drive my vert when the weather is nice enough to have the top down. Also, when I leave my car parked in my garage, I always leave the top down. Therefore, the top really only goes up when I wash the car.

The questions I have are:

1) can keeping the top down for too long do any damage to the mechanicals of the top?

2) Would it be better to park it with the top up?

3) Is there any type of maintenance that should be done to the top? (oil any of the joints, etc...)

I've heard before that leaving the top down could make it look bad where it folds. Leaving it up helps it keep it's shape.

Store it with the top up.

Definitely store/park it with the top up. Like clothing that has been left folded in the dresser for too long, your rag top can develop some wicked creases if left down too long. :cool:
