Has anyone heard any rumors or have any knowledge if the LS2 will only be available in the C6, or will it possibly make its way into the GTO Judge, also? I'm still planning on building my own LS6 GTO, but I was just curious about the LS2....

A buddy of my is an electrical engineer for GM in Milford. He works in the V8 group doing calibrations on 2005-2007 applications. He said he will soon be working on an LS2 truck application for the SSR.

The new HP motors usually are only in the Corvette the first year. Just like the LT1 and LS1.

It wouldn't make sense not to use the LS2 as a Corvette-only application. I'm sure the LS2 will make it into many other platforms, just like the LS1 before it.

It is going to show up in the Holdens and therefore Pontiac GTO as well. Possibly some 05 models (late 04) will use it but defintely by 06 (late 05) when the new platform begins production.

Wow, they might actually get me interested in a SSR if they did that!

wow, and LS2 SSR? Im sure there will be many different power levels. I can see this happening... 05 GTO's get apperance package, and LS6 option as a hi-po option. GM is gunna wana get rid of all the rest of teh LS6 stuff. In the GTO's final year, it will probably get the LS2 as standard, but with a lower hp raiting of 370-390...maybe 389? Then, in 07 when a home made GTO is here, along with a smaller Camaro, the LS2 will be in full swing and will probably be in many of the Zeta chassis cars.
