View Full Version : What car makes are Monsoon systems available in?

The first time I heard about the Monsoon systems, I saw them in 2 vehicles at the NY Autoshow....

An LT1 T/A and an H1 Hummer Wagon:cool:

I later saw them in many other GM vehicles including Saabs, but yesterday, I picked up a rental Hyundai Santa Fe and noticed it also had a Monsoon system:think:

What other makes of cars are available with Monsoons:dunno:

fbods and hummer's of course. but i know that they're also in VW's. i think there is one more but i can't remember. monsoon's site is under construction so i can't verify what else they may be in.

Is Monsoon really a brand? God I hope not. Judging by the quality of the amp and the rest of the stock Monsoon system, I would be embarassed to admit that I had a Monsoon anything in my car!!!

I remember seeing that Rockford Fosgate was the maker of Monsoon. I could be wrong though.

my understanding is that monsoon designs the specs for the gear in the cars, but does not manufacture any of it. Atleast, that is the case with the fbody. If you rip each part out, every single part says delco, and I'm pretty sure the amp itself is made by Delphi.

A monsoon in an fbody is totally different then a monsoon in any other car. Each one is proprietary to that model.

My wife's '04 Hyundai Santa Fe has a Monsoon head unit in it. :D

I also think Buick's (at least the Regal) has the Monsoon.

The cars that I have come across that have monsoon systems in them are GMs, VWs, Hyundais, andddddddddd crap I can't remember. But that might be it. Fords have JBL and Infinity systems in them. I can't remember what Mercedes or BMW has. I think BMW may be MB Quart. But yes the monsoon stuff is made all by Delphi.

My Regal GS had the Monsoon...also some Cavaliers and Sunfires. The VWs as well have it as an option.
