View Full Version : Dry your car spot free - the easy way.

Okay, I am a fanatic about water spots on my car after washing and waxing it (Zaino naturally). Anyways, I discovered a stupid easy way to quickly dry your car and be almost spot free.
I used to wash and wax it the regular way. I discovered a easier way is to remove the spray nozzle from the hose and just have an open flow of water. Start on the roof and move the hose towards the front or back of the car. This creates a water sheeting action, and the water will flow as a whole off the car. You will be left with smaller big water patches rather than tiny little water droplets to wipe up.
This works best with a well waxed car, but still works other wise.
I keep the hose a inch or two off the surface - and lead the water away. Give it a try.
Wow, you are a genius, i bet no one in these forums has ever hear of that

Actually I discovered it by accident, when my wife had misplaced the nozzle to the hose.
I have been reading about all these "dry your car without spots products", and figured I would post this little tidbit.
Leafblowers are great for getting things out of every nook and cranny, but they are big and a PITA.

Actuallt JoeJ, I don't hang in this section too often, and as per the above post, yes I see that it has already been posted. So what is your point. You don't need to be so condesending. :wtf:
And for your info I did discover it on my own about a year ago. If you got a problem with that, then too bad. :p
I'm ever so sorry if i stepped on your poor tootsies :crybaby:

I take the nozzle off, and let the water 'sheet' onto the car. THEN, I use teh leafblower  Leaf blower usually takes about 5 minutes to dry the car off, then another 5 to get the water out of the body panel gaps.
The hardest part of my car it the rear. The Formula spoiler sucks...and the bumper always ends up with dirt spots
