My friend is putting a new exaust system on his 2000 Camaro Z28. I was wondering if I can use that exaust on my 97 Camaro RS? What would be the pros/cons, besides the $600 i would spend on the Flowmaster American Thunder exaust i was planing on getting.

Pros: It's a cheap upgrade, and is very common for us V6ers.
Cons: you might have to search around and buy all the parts you need to complete the install.

I thought American Thunder was only $300. Usually the stainless catbacks (B&B triflow and borla) are $600 (not including installation). Sorry, not trying to be an ass, it's been awhile since I last looked through the catbacks for a V6.

I got mine intalled for 188, that was everything, parts and labor.
Flowmaster is cheap. If you'rew gonna spend over 400, go on ebay and get you some slp, borla, or magnaflow. Just my 2 cents

I have a 00 camaro and replaced mine with a catback from a 00 formula. The car sounds good and doesn't have a ricy sound to it at all.
