I dunno, but in the New GM Hightech Performance they tested 7 lids in the new issue, and the MTI and the SLP did the best with SLP being the better fit, and if they had gottena better 60' it would have been the quickest on the cars as well,
I whave to get another lid becuase mine is cracked, but I am going with an SLP plus it has a lifetime warranty...;)

Directflo or TSP....
Ask anyone who owns either.. most have owned a diff lid previously... I'll never change my TSP (famous last words)

i have had really good luck with my previous direct flo and the granatelli i have now is great! I would just stay away from slp because i have seen several that rub on the hoods of cars;)

The Slp, and MTI ,had the most power, and I have to have one like the SLP for my nitrous jets, I can't a a TSP because it will just shoot the nitrous out of the air filter:D
Plus a lifetime warranty vs. a 1 year, except the LG motorsports with 2

If you get the new GM Hightech Performance, They Dynotested the LG Motorsports Lid, MTI Lid, Quarter Mile Performance, SLP, TSP, Whisper, and a Granitelli. They done 2 dyno runs for each
They track tested all of them, except the Granitelli.
the Qaurter Mile Performance, and SLP lids have the best tight fitment, the rest were loose.
Track results here...
Stock- 2.17 60' 13.12@108.76
LG Motorsports- 2.18 13.00@109.90
MTI- 2.10 12.92@110.24
Quartermile P.- 2.12 12.96@109.73

I'm kinda disappointed they didn't get the OE '02 Blackwing lid in there.
I'd like to see the same comparisons for that lid in the same test.

Isn't the SLP Lid (Polypropylene) the OE Lid? It is definitely the best constructed lid and more heavy duty than the ABS Plastic Lids.

But I could ask that they actually ship one to me. I ordered one a few weeks ago and I'm still waiting. They emailed and said they were out of stock. :(
My SLP rubs, but I'm very happy with it.Would only lose it for the Blackwing.

I'm happy with my whisper, but its that damn SLP bellows I got that kind of screwed things up. I like the carbon fiber look too. The only thing I don't like about the whisper is that it doesn't seem to fit all that great, but looks like some people have the same problem with other lids so I'm not complaining. - Patrick :D

The lid they tested appears to be the SLP aftermarket lid. The one for about $99. (Shown as listed in the test for $99)
The OE Donaldson Blackwing from SLP will cost ya $279 or something like that.
The OE Blackwing lid is the one that looks like it's made out of the same stuff as the original Trans Am lid. Very heavy duty material. Very nice fit & finish.
Unlike the SLP aftermarket lid which is similar in construction to the TSP, DFlow, & other aftermarket lids.
If yer simply in the market for flow, who cares, a lids a lid, ... They all flow, ..., Me however, I wanted it for looks, fit, finish, & like the OE look on the car. (Even if it is a 2002 lid on a 2001 car!)

I got the SLP lid and i noticed a difference when i did that and the FRA and new filter at once. Fit kinda loose at first but after a little bit being one it filts like a glove, never rubs my hood either.
FYI,you can get the Blackwing for $112 and you must buy the boot connector for $40.That is the part that connects the lid to the mass air.So you can get it for $152.
