OK well nobody else has brought this up yet, and im gonna be getting tint soon. i was thinking 20% on the sides, and maybe 10% on the back. lets see some pics of some tints so i can get an idea, and if its on a red camaro that would help even more

I have 23%, its pretty dark and not too bad at night, but I think I want darker. Legal limit here is 35%, so thats why 23% was a good choice.

Check my site for pics. My car isn't red but it will give you an idea of what 20% looks like.
At night you can't see through it unless there is a good amount of light coming through the windshield.
I also have my t-top shades in to help make it darker.
I wish I would have gone a little darker, like 10% or so. :cool:

I have mine at 35%, the car had it when I got it so I just left it.

Do you know how your going to have them work around the dot matrix on your back window yet? Because usually the tint won't stick to it very well and it doesn't look good. I'd recommend putting a strip of black vinyl on the inside or I know of some people who have painted it. Just something to keep in mind.

I like my sides a little on the lighter side and the back window dark:cool:

well if 10% is the darkest u wanna go...then go for it..if u want darker i suggest atleast 5% on the sides and back...i have 15on the sides and 5% slapped on top...it looks VERY nice and its not so back at night(im used to it)...here are some pics

You too huh? I have 35% all around...you can tell it is tinted, but I wish I would have gone darker. 20% all around would be good...I don't want it too dark at night.

well it looks like i will be getting 20%, and as for how am im going to have them do the back, they are gonna do it till they get it right, thats the nice part about paying someone to do it :D

I've got 5% on the back but I could only do 55% on the sides cause of stupid laws here in Cali

5% all the way around with a custom firebird tint deall in the rear window check the pic in sig to see it ....:cool:

I am another vote for 5% all the way around. My SS is done that way. I also have the entire windshield done in 35% with an eyebrow in 5% about 10 inches down.

I have 28% on the sides and 18% in the back. If i could go back and do it again i'd do 18% all the way around (lumar tint). I was afraid that 18 would be hard to see out of but w/ the lumar tint i have NO problems seeing outa any of my windows during the day or at night. here's a few pic:

:yup: I always get, "hey man you need to get your windows tinted now." "I do have my windows tinted" "You doo?" Takes closer look!! "Well, go darker!"

I don't like really dark tint, well I do like it, but I have trouble seeing at night anyway. But I don't get it, I can tell it's tinted, but I guess everybody else is used to the 5% that most people run around here!!

definitely do back and sides, and even t-tops; mine's a white WS6 t/a with tint all around; looks awesome :D
