I can't imagine anyone regretting going from an f-body to a Vette. It has always been my opinion that the f-body was a stepping stone to the C5, it's clearly the superior car in every way. I just wish my quest to get one wasn't taking so long! Hopefully I'll have one before next weekend.

Well my 02 Z is gone, picked up A new04 vette monday, dont know if the C5 auto will be as quick as the f-body t-56. It will be some time before I get into it hard as it only has three hundred miles on it now, so time will tell if I will miss my f-body

C5 autos can be pretty quick, I was just talking with a guy today with an 03 C5 coupe, with the optional 3.15 gears, and his best time in cold weather with only a K&N filter is a 12.7 at 109mph! Nice!

I was the same way about my WS6, even though I was a Vette fan. I miss my WS6, but I love my Vette. I think what I miss most is the mean look a black WS6 gives

But you won't regret a C5. You've experienced the WS6, now move on :D

Yep, I also had a black 98 WS6 6 speed and had to get a new car because it was totaled. Would have kept it for a very long time as I really liked that car. Besides it was paid for. It was loaded with aftermarket goodies. The Vette is smoother and more comfortable but the WS6 looked like a race car and with the Borla cat back sounded very nice. I got the Borla Stinger for my 6 speed Vette and it resonated so bad I took them off and put the factory system back on. The Borla sounded like you poked holes in the mufflers. I understand they sound better on automatics due to the difference in RPM range. Anyway given the cost difference its an individual choice. I guess if I had a cat back system that sounded good to me I would feel different but me..... I would rather have my Black WS6 back with no payments.

I'm thinking about trading in my 01 SS on an 01 Z06. This Z06 is Silver and has under 16k miles. I took the Vette out for a test drive last night and I was :jawdrop:. It really is alot better than the f-bodies. The only thing I'm hesitant on is the color. I would prefer red. I don't know what to do.:help:

for those who have gone from an f-body to a C5, how is the ride different ??

is the body stiffer ?? more comfortable ride, or harsher ??

Rick, the C5 is much nicer to drive! The ride is softer, but yet the handling is better! The suspension is just so much more sophisticated that's why.
