For the 96-97 WS6 owners, SLP Engineering did the conversions and they are numbered as well. To obtain that info you must visit
www.slpeng.com and visit the forum section. Make sure you provide a VIN# and model Year as well. I am not sure if these guys still get back with you now that SLP shut down…

98-02 WS6 Owners. How to obtain your ASC Conversion#
We are always getting new members wanting to know what their ASC conversion# is?
Who do you get a hold of? etc..

ASC Global Inc. is the manufacture that does the WS6 conversions for the 98-02 Trans Am WS6's. The website is www.ascglobal.com Make sure you send the VIN# and the Model year
When requesting you #. Not only did they do WS6 conversions they did a lot of other accessories installs on newer vehicles.

Who to get a hold of from ASC for your Conversion#:
Email: marty.straub@ascglobal.com

*Please, please be patient when waiting for a response from Marty. He is taking his own time looking up your info and then emailing it back to you. We need to give him credit for all the work he is and has done for us. And keep in mind these cars are out of production so it is not a priority of the company, but Marty is a great guy. It seems as though the turn around time from a response from Marty ranges from a few days to a week(s).
So please do not keep emailing him if he hasn't responded within a couple days

There is also a Person that went by the screen name 01WS6_4_ME
He has a very large number of the ASC #’s for the 01 – 02 cars to include the CE’s
I think he had a few from 99 – 00 as well. You can do a Google search on him as I am not sure what Boards he uses. (He is the one I got my info from)

Please feel free If anyone wants to add anything to this, I think this will be good and valuable info for any of the WS6 owners.

Also if you send a email to cac@pontiac.com
give your year, make, model and VIN. plus any direct questions about your cars options or such ( non asc or slp items) build sheet type of information and you will get a wealth of info back in a day or two.

Hey Everyone! Your LS2 ASC guy has arrived. 02 CETA Stocker messaged me at LS1.com has just informed me that LS2.com exists and that many of you are seeking your number. Killer 01 WS6 is correct, I do have most of the #'s for 01, 02, and CETA's. 98 guys, I don't have #'s yet but I'm working closely with ASC to get those. 99 and 00 guys due to the extremely bad record keeping done by ASC those years are full of holes and I haven't had a very good success rate with those but feel free to send me your vin anyway and I will check just to be sure. I'm glad to help anyone. Info I need is the year of your car and Vin#. For 99 and 00 guys the month it was born in the factory would also help. This can be obtained by looking at your driver door sticker for the MM/YY date. I'll do my best to hook you all up. Cheers.

I got one question though, how am i susposed to know it legit and not fake? It would suck monkey balls to found out later down the road that the asc number was fake and have mods done with the asc number?

Your # is looked up by your vin # which ASC has tagged with the ASC#. If the # is wrong, it's b/c ASC screwed up. All I have it what they gave me.

01WS6_4_ME Check your PM. Just sent a request - hopefully you can obligde!

For any others reading this thread, I'm, looking for a bearkdown of builds by color, options etc. I have seen it for the 2002 model year, but any other year is nearly impossible to come by - and I have been scoping the web like crazy for 8 months. Yes - I registered with every ls1/2/7 & fbody site out there looking for this info. Even NFTAC (Nation firebird & TA club) couldn't help me and never got a response from ASC.

I don't have a WS6, but I have a vert and I remember reading that ASC did the vert fbody conversions as well.

Help me out if you can - much appreciated.

Well, I've been waiting over a year... still no answer on mine.

Wonder if I should bug them again? I dunno. This is sure one thing that sucks ass about '98s.

It's because you have a 2002 and I have a 1998. The 1998 model year was fairly notorious for bad record keeping... by the time they got to your car they had a pretty decent system down.
