I am wanting to do a few interior mods to my SS. I already have the billet pedals and the "SS" shifter and plan on doing some LED stuff. But lets see some things that you have done that you really like.

Some good stuff there - those seats would be really nice if they were red inside on the SS. Keep it coming.

Thanks. I just took my seats out, took them to a local shop, and had them re-upholster them. I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out, there was a few mistakes when I first got it back, but I just took the car back to them and they fixed everything up without a problem.

what companies sell carbon fiber interior kits like that?

Luke
02-27-2004, 09:08 AM
I think you can have your pieces sent to exoticwooddash.com and they will cover them in cf. Also RKSport has a kit that snaps in place over the pieces now I believe.

RedPhoenix1998
02-27-2004, 11:27 AM
Yeah RK sport sells the CF dash kit, the other kit is an overlay though I believe

Carbon fiber looks so nice, but it can get kinda expensive to get that stuff done though.

That shifter set up is bad arse, to say the least! One of the tightest feeling I've felt. :)

And Brian... you can hide that radar detector wire easily by removing the bezel that goes around the radio, a/c vents, etc. I did it to mine and did it for Dave and it's awesome. :)

Hey Shamrock, your two-tone seats are very

I had my done at local auto trim shop for $550.00 & was done in one day. The center console lid is from Vette Essentials vendor.

:chevy: Thanks! BTW, I got the idea from one of the Vette Magazines but it was not purely done for cosmetics. When I bought my '01 15 months ago, with only 8700 odo, the driver's seat bolster had a few scuff marks & a pin hole. I can not believe how much $$$ I've put into my baby both in Appearance & Performance Mods. :sillyme: :faint:

Nevertheless, I think all my mods have been done in good taste & with a great deal of thought. :D

Mod Fever is a chronic condition.

Are they sport seats?

Yes, the 1SC Factory Option includes Sport Bucket Seats.

The original seat color was solid light oak leather. The black leather portions you see in the PIC was done by J&H Auto Trim in Austin, TX. BTW, the back & bottom portions of the seats are black, too. The light oak portion in the middle is the original factory leather.

I really like how the two tone seat effect turned out & the Vette Essentials center console lid kept the color flow going, IMHO. I can not decide if I want to continue the two tone look with the shift boot & steering wheel. Any thoughts?

Even though I have leather seats, the one thing I really dislike about my SS is the seats. Camaro owners got shafted - TA and Vette seats are so much nicer from the factory.
I have been keeping my eyes peeled for a nice set of TA seats though. ;)
