dryer sheets?
You do not want to use dryer sheets because the contain fabric softner and will leave a residue on the towels wich in turn can leave a residue on your shiny car.
As far as drying I put them in the dryer on a lower setting then when there damp i fluff and hang dry them.

What they say - liquid detergent, no dryer sheets, plus use a double rinse cycle. The extra rince gets rid of any residual detergent.

I use only microfiber stuff, and I hand wash them (liquid Tide) and let them air dry in my dryer. It is a bit of work, but they also haven't scratched my car.
