Buying this 99 LS1 Camaro, most of the mods are unknown...i'm going to tell you the things I know it has, and you tell me what you think would go along with it....
intake
exhaust
high lift cam
10.5:1 compression
bored over .030
ported & polished
steel crank (???)
Any idea what the displacement would be with all of that?
If you had to guess about what else would be done or could guess about ANYthing, post up...
I know the car was built up at 'Skunkworks' ...anyone know these guys? I google''d and couldn't find anything...
Thanks :D

Impossible to guess. You really need to contact the previous owner and get some more info if at all possible. Without doing the math, .030" should give you about 4-5 cu. in..

I'd be very wary and cautious.. Yes it may be a great find.. But somebody sold the car to sombody else who didn't care about the mods as a selling point... Makes you think if there is some problem that you don't know about.. Just be very thorough and inspect everything.. I'd put it on a scanner cause who knows what codes have been deleted on a Moded car.
I'm not saying it's not a good deal.. just do your homework.

Well, it may help to say that it was bought originally by a retired police officer, who traded it in at the dealer, who then gave the next owner (who i'm buying from) a vague description of the mods...
Think Skunkworks would have a record of everything that's been done?
He told me the ABS light is on, and that it's the only problem that it's had besides normal wear
also said it has a jet pro 2 computer, which from what my LS1 friends have told me is a POS?

Well, if that information is confirmed that would make me feel better.. Not better because it's a cop but because the x-owner is still known...
Definately contact skunkworks and see what records they have on the car.. That sounds like your best bet.
Tell them you want a diagnosis on the ABS light first.. it could be a simple as a wheel speed sensor or as complex and expensive as the ABS pump module.. $$
Never heard of Jet-Pro 2 so maybe someone else can help you with that..
Sounds like a badass car... I hope it turns out to be a good car..
You're gonna have a blast tooling that thing around :drive:
