I should specify.. The wife!! has a new G8, but I still get to drive it and play with it/mod it.

I love the pickup on this car and the smooth ride. I'm holding out for a test drive in a 5th gen. but if it doesn't tickle my fancy, we might just have 2 G8's in the garage.


so when is the aftermarket gonna kick in on these cars. Im ready to mod. Pedders is the only place I know of so far that has any real selection of parts.. 250 for a stb seems a bit high but I would guess thats just because its so new.

The Aftermarket has already kicked off.

Cold Air Intakes, headers, full exhaust systems have been available for awhile now.
Catch cans, I don't think anyone has released a plug and play kit just yet, but soon.
Cam upgrades while maintaining AFM function has been done and DOD cams are available.
AFM delete and (Non-DOD) cam upgrade packages are available.
Wheels are available.

Lots of parts from the Holden VE range are a direct bolt-on. Badges, 2 piece fuel rail covers, stripe kits, spoilers, rear window sun shades, wheel caps.

They are a sweet ride for the money. GF was dead set on a '10 Camaro, but now she's kinda digging the G8 GT after driving my dad's. He's done some mods. Not sure what speficically, but I know he's dropped a couple $Gs at it. I think exhaust/intake/tune/underdrive pulley so far. Gets scootin' pretty quick. Not that it was slow to begin with. I think he might buy a second one? Dunno. Probably depends on what he can get for His YJ 04 GTO M6...
