now, lately I've been thinking. what would my car look like with some 17x8 TT2's, but of course the big investment is making the decision for me. I was wondering if any one has put this size of rim on their 2nd gen (any pics, even if its not ures?), and is there any clearence problems, how big can i go with the tire? or any specific backspacing needed?
I may just save the money, keep the shiny's i have now. But damn i like them rims.
a pic to help you visualize some 17"ers.

I've heard that you can have some rubbing problems in front depending on how wide you go and what size tire you use. I would think that 17x9 would rub but maybe 17x8 wouldn't.

I think they look bad ass. I would go with regualr polished on yours since you don't have any gold striping or trim. They will look great and really make your car stand out.

yeah, all I need now is the money (and someone to buy my current rollers).

what size are those, 17" or 18"? i was thinking about getting 18" for mine, however, after seeing those pics i think 18" may be too much rim for this car

another question, which are more expensive: TT2s or Smoothie II's? I like both, so which ever is cheaper....

Those are 17's that I posted. Not sure which is cheaper.

hey guys, does anyone have more info about the rims on the Black Trans Am that were posted?
its overall nice, however, it looks like those tires are just too small for the car, as in they dont fill up the wheel well enough.
what is the diameter of the tires? i know my stockers are about 27"

Those are 17x8 or 17x9 Torque Thrust 2's. Not sure of the tire size but they're probably 255-275/40/ZR17.
That car has been lowered about an inch so that the wheel wells dont look so open. I think it's just that you're used to seing a lot more rubber on these cars and less wheel.

How about those Billet aluminum Rally II 17"-18" wheels they have available now:think:
I have yet to see them on a car, but they look pretty sweet:cool:

I like those, but I don't think that they would suit my car, they're just not shiney enough.
