I don't know all the differences.
The 09 does not have the central gauges (oil pressure and volts) that everyone hated in the 08. Instead it gets a storage compartment in that spot.

No ignition orange
so basically, nothing is really that dramatic to it.

Interior trim changes.
Different exterior colour choices.
Minor changes only to a few small mechanical items.

Works for me. I got my G8 Gt for pennies on the dollar basically.

I have a 09.
I do have Blue tooth, do not have gauges above the radio, it is an open slot. I hate it becuase nothing stays in the there from take off. I will be changing to it some sort of pod.
On the thought of changes in year models, I am sure I am wrong here, but doesn't the 09 get the better heads and intake from the LS3?

No.
All Pontiac G8-GT had the LS3 intake.
All have L92/LS3 style heads.......a few different head casting numbers were used.
I don't think the hollow LS3 intake valves were fitted to head castings used for G8-GT.

Good to know the 09 has the LS3 heads and intake. I have seen a "Fast Intake" and a ported Intake from Vector Motor sports. Wondering if it would be worth the price.

Not until you are chasing that last 10hp from a seriously cammed or stroked block IMO.
Read the fine print on the FAST 102R, something like 13hp on a stock LS3 engine which has more cubes and a higher performance cam than the L76.
