Got a questions for the guys doing swaps. You may not have done my particular swap but may still be able to answer my questions. Swapping a 2003 LS6 into my 78' Datsun. On the stock datsun the alternator is not internally regulated. The 12v output on it runs to a 60 amp fusible link, then on to the battery positive post. In my buddies 5.3 liter chevy pickup which i believe uses the same type alternator the 12v output, goes to a post and then onto the battery. Do i need to put that 12v output to a fuse, or can i run it straight from the alternator to the positive battery post?
