I did not have time for a test drive. My impression of the cars interior is actually pretty damn good. Especially for a car at 31K price point. The dash was constructed of a hard plastic but was nicely assembled and looked good with nice fit and finish. Seats were comfortable and looked well constructed. Much better than any F body by far. Throw in a sweet V8 (LSwhateveritis made/assembled in Mexico?:confused: ) motor and rear drive and you have a winner.
The only thing about the interior that I questioned is the easily moveable headliner( it also comes several inches downward into the passenger compartment) where the soon roof moves back too when opened. That was one area that could be a potenial problem down the road. The stereo seemed a little weak. I think my monsoon may be better(louder). I am the farthest thing from a GM nuthugger as I find the new camaro kinda fugly in and out.
This car should be a absolute hit at this price point. I am thinking as we speak of purchasing one. I would like to hear some feedback on any reliability issues first.
My SS with the 345HP package retailed for 33K plus in 2002.
I now think I got severely ripped off after seeing all this car had to offer nearly 6 years later.
