Clip onto fuel rail...you also need 4 x studs to screw into valve covers for the lower support. Will post info further below.

As fitted in a 2008 VE. The owner has highlighted the graphics on the covers to match the duco. Also note the passenger side cover needed to be trimmed front and rear to clear the heater hoses.

You need 4x these studs (per engine) to support the lower section of the covers. [about $2.50ea]

These conical rubbers are part of the covers....Part Number posted in case somebody loses one. (Same part used on 05-06 GTO's)

You also need to remove the plastic beauty/noise cover and the foam padding from on top of the LS3 intake manifold. This requires the unbolting and lifting of the L76 fuel rail....to allow the tabs on the beauty cover to be freed.

Beauty Cover and Foam padding removed.

The beauty cover and foam need to be removed because the 2 piece covers were designed to fit the original L76 intake manifold which sits about 1/2" lower than the LS3 assembly. With the beauty cover/foam removed the 2 piece covers once more clip onto the L76 fuel rails as intended.

Does the Y-body LS3 carry an insulated intake manifold?

Yes

"One item that isn't shared with the GM truck parts bin is the newly designed LS3 intake manifold. GM uses a lost-core process to manufacture the new composite plastic intake manifold. One unique development is a layer of sound insulation foam, contained inside of an area between the internal air runners and the external top shell. This results in less valvetrain and high-frequency noise transmitted to the passengers. Even the typical Corvette fuel rail beauty covers now have acoustic dampening material added underneath to reduce engine noise. Initial tests show the new LS3 intake design flows much more than the LS2 intake, but also does so with 2% less internal restriction. The fuel rail is identical to the LS2 fuel rail, but now LS7 fuel injectors are used to handle the power increase. The same 90mm diameter, four-bolt mounting-style throttle body is carried over from the LS2."

The carbon Fiber Valve Covers and CAI are incredible from RotoFab. I have both on my Stryker Blue G8 and they look incredible. I do not know how to post a picture, so I am giving the link where I bought them.
