For those of you wanting to know about basic bolts on mods and their effect at making the G8 GT faster this link may help.
An Australian tuner has documented his progress with mods to his VE Commodore SS-V with A6 (basis for your G8-GT).
Please bear in mind that the 6.0 SS-V here does not have Active Fuel Management (AFM) hardware or software installed. Your G8 GT does.

Cool info. Wonder if the US version will be hard to tune? Think my dad read that article. He's thinking about the G8 GT and is thinking modding the GT will be more cost effective than buying a GXP when it's available.

Shop "X" (not a site sponsor)
Here are the dyno numbers from our G8GT :
298 rwhp 322 rwtq stock
309 rwhp 327 rwtq with "Brand X" Intake
324 rwhp and 341 rwtq with "Brand X" Intake and 93 octane tuning
We also did a pull with the stock air box and tuning and made 317 rwhp 336 rwtq
"Brand X" intake includes 9" K&N filter, 304 S/S tubing and silicone hoses = about $260.

It's no more difficult than anything else. It responds well to the tuning, even though it feels hot from the get go! :)

Yea. He'll probably do all the mere mortal stuff like exhaust and intake. He really likes the G8 GT. I guess he got a loaded white one a couple days ago.
