My boyfriend went to get a new transmission on Monday and the guy told him that new Raybestos Z-pak had come out on Sunday and they wanted to test it out on his car... so they are putting that Z-pac thing (not really sure what it is :sillyme:, vaccuum modulater, and a shift kit in his new transmission :)
just seeing if anyone has heard about this Raybestos Z-Pak thing.... my bf didn't really tell me too much about it....

When I got my tranny rebuilt I got the works. Raybestos Bands, Blue Plate Special clutches, billet servos, etc.. If they are better than that, you will not be disappointed.
If I am running street tires, a throttled shift to second will always result in a "chirp" of the tires.:D

Well like all things I am sure it is more opinion than fact. It is all quality stuff.
My guy has been building race trannys for 35 years and he rebuilt our l460e 10 times before he found a combo he was happy with. I spray though shifts with a 135 shot of nitrious no problem, for over a year now.
Heat, is you biggest ememy day to day. (http://www.transmissioncenter.net/TransTemp.htm)

That's awesome...I need to find me one of those types of girls around here. Sometimes it is just kinda hard to explain why I spend so much time fiddling around with crap on my car, but it is really the only hobby I have that interests me to no end.

If I remember correctly, the blues are quality stock replacements, reds are a little more aggressive friction material, and I have not yet yeard of Z-pac (thought he might have an album coming out soon  )
Raybestos makes quality clutches & bands; shouldn't be a bad way to go. Good luck on the buildup.

I thought it was the other way:
Blue Plate Special Clutches are available for_ many applications. These competition-proven CPS Blue Plate Special Clutches will absorb three times the horsepower that stock clutches will - they also exhibit 300% better coefficient of friction. Kolene steel plates MUST be used with these clutches.
Red Clutches are available for many applications. These competition-proven CPS Red Clutches will absorb more horsepower than stock clutches will - they also exhibit a more controlled coefficient of friction to prevent a slippage.
Thanks for catching me from falling Debian  I flipped a coin.
