I love this car, but with $4/gal. gas...they should have put the cylinder deactivation setup on the GT. Gas mileage would go up, and I thin that would entice even more people.

We got our 1st 2 in this morning. I'll post pics later. One black and one magnetic gray. The gray is very boring on this car. I barely noticed what they were when I walked through the shop when they were being PDI'd. The car looks great in black, but it needs different wheels. the black center caps do look awful in person.
The interior is great. I really don't know why people on here were complaining about it other than the fact that a lot people here just like to complain about shit. The only interior gripe is that the seat doesn't have a power recline. It has a knob and it's a bitch to get to. It's very comfortable though. It has a huge trunk too.
The car is VERY queit. It has almost no exhaust note. I walked by one in the shop and couldn't hear it running.
Overall, I really like the car. It looks great, is very comfortable and has decent power. I just can't wait to see the GXP next year.

Sorry guys, I left work today and realized that I left my camera in my desk. I'll bring my card reader to work and see if I can upload them there.

I'm thinking the Pacific Slate is Pontiac's version of the color on my GMC.

Agreed at this point. With just a couple tweaks the G8 would be outstanding in my opinion and a coupe version would be amazing.
I've said it a 100 times now I think, but I really think GM should have focused their efforts completely on the G8 and left the Camaro dead.

make the G8 a coupe, put in the nav system from the new cts (which is supposedly the best one out there), give it heated seats and bluetooth (although i think it may actually have bluetoth), offer a manual transmission, and you have an epic win.
the camaro... meh. nobody cares anymore. even the stang isn't selling well anymore

:werd: If Pontiac can bring over the C60 coupe from Holden ( though it's a different platfrom?) I'd think that would complete the showroom for Pontiac. I'm so hoping that comes to fruition.

Pontiac should go back to all RWD platforms... The G8 is a good step in the right direction, but it's gonna need a bit more help to turn Bimmer owners into Pontiac owners.

Sat in one today...and I was extremely dissapointed. The exterior looked absolutly amazing, but the interior is where I was let down. I expected the interior to feel well made, but it felt cheap...and I own a v6 firebird. For 30k the interior should have been better.
Not only was the interior a let down, but the stealership already had a 5k markup...
I wanted this car sooo fucking bad, but I left :(

The top 4th gen Models were over $30k... I wouldn't expect much more from the interior... and $30k doesn't buy you the same vehicle it did 10 years ago. I think they did a pretty damn good job.
Personally for me it's gonna be hard to choose between the new Camaro and this car... it'd be a manual GXP if I got the G8.

Don't get me wrong, it looks great, but the feel of the interior is what ruins it for me. The e-brake felt as if the cheap plastic was going to break after one or two hard pulls.

I have to disagree on the interior. It didn't feel cheap to me at all. I wish the interior of my SS were as nice and well put together as the G8.

ive driven a holden , which is the aussie version of the same car , and the interior was great , i dunno if the expectations where that you where getting $100,000 cars interior for $30k ? maybe thats what they thought.
if i was to critisize i single item , i would say the glove box might feel a bit cheap (the mechanism and the way it wobbles when you open it) but other than that everything else is as good as the GTO's level.
i like the tiny pentagons that cover the entire dash

OK.....and your point is? I was comparing my interior to that of the G8.

The non professional pictures of the G8 do wonders for the car.
I really like what I see with the G8 GT, the next question is how will it handle snow covered roads. :wiggle:

No, I didn't drive either of these since they're sold. The next that's coming in isn't pre-sold and I will get some wheel time with it. It should be here anytime now.
