Yep, I can say after tomorrow Ill be done with the 81. She is gutted pretty good. Ill try one more time tomorrow to get the rear belts out but they are being a bitch and the bolts wont break loose. Also will get the remaining brake lines out from under her and hope she dont fall on me.

After that my friend is gonna cut the good parts of the 1/4's, floor pans, the trunk pan and tail light panel and the roof off. They are all good and he is gonna save them for using on other cars that are rusty in those spots, then the remains will be off to the crusher along with the motor and tranny.

Ill be bringing the sub frame home next week and start preping it for the 78.

a lot of 2nd gen owners ive talked to are looking for that piece, because they rust out from either a leaking windshield or condensation. I had to fix mine because we couldn't find one.

That piece will only fit 80-81 cause it has the speaker cut outs in it. That one has some rust in it in the same spot yours did.

Thats what the wrecking yard I bought it from stuck on it to roll it around since they sold the stock Turbo wheels off it. I wish that it had still had its Turbo wheels when I bought it.:mad:

Update: Just got home from pulling the rear belts out, finally got them out and I got the brake lines out from under it.

I also cleaned some on the engine block and found its numbers.

Its the original Turbo motor that came in the car. :eek:

It has 301 T stamped in the side and the engine code on the front matches. :cool:

Its just someone changed out the exhaust manifolds and intake when they took the turbo off.

This would be a good block for someone restoring a Turbo car. :)
