I know the GM guys (Myself included) wont really like this, but here goes.
I have a Ford Big Block based off the 429ci block, the motor is a longblock, comepletely brand new, sitting for the past few yrs in my garage. Internals though are about as far from ford as you can get :)
Anyway, im gathering a checklist of what I will need to put this motor into my 99TA.
So far,
Motor plates, Adapter Plate for TH400, custom crossmember for tranny, convertor, and custom headers, fuel system...
my questions are this:
Can the motor mounts on my k-member be altered/customized to bolt this motor to the existing k-member?
Where is a good place, for a reasonable price, to get custom headers for this application?
Is there a Big Block conversion kit already available for LS1 Fbodys? Please provide links if so. thank you.
Has this ever been done? people with experience please chime in...
