We continue to see naive posts that effectively say, "all you have to do to make 1000 hp is . . . " If you see such a post, you should assume they have not built such a car.

Here's the list of actual parts that makeup our real live 414 ci, 1000 hp LS1, which pretty much covers most neccessary items:

VDO Tachometer
SA2000 Helmet and safety clothing
Bogart Fluted Star wheels
5/8 Wheel studs
MT 28-15W slicks/MT fronts 26x4.5
LPE Intake Manifold
Ls1 P/P heads
Manley valve springs, retainers, etc.
Machined, bored, drilled, tapped, CI block (4.06)
Lunati Crank/ Manley Rods
10-point Roll cage, w/TIG welding and paint
Rossler TH-400, w/transbrake

You can do the arithematic, it ain't cheap!

it sure is not.....I've been building my T-76 408 for over a year now. I have prob 22K in reciepts, and yet not a running car lol it never ends...that's for sure

No joke.
I have reciepts for about $30K, and it's just now turning out 623 to the tire. I'm done at that, but end up @ $50K for initial cost on car & everything else associated with handling that power.. Suspension and all.

HP costs exponentially more after about 500RHWP.. And scales up FAST.

That sure is the truth. Cost % is much more beyond 550 RWHP+ that is the truth!!!!!
